MY EXPERIENCE
For nine years, I have been a professional private tutor, accruing over eight thousand hours of experience.
Tutoring
In the one-to-one setting, I have helped around one hundred students from the ages of five to thirty-five work towards their goals. Although entrance exams are now my speciality, I’ve worked with many students on their GCSEs & A Levels.
Previously, I taught for three years at Lionheart School, an interim education centre for students encountering educational difficulties or who are in some form of educational transition. As such, I have extensive experience working with SEN (including dyslexia, dyscalculia, dyspraxia, autism and selective mutism), students with mental health considerations, and students who are in recovery.
I have previously hosted subject support groups for A-level biology students at Harris City Academy and ran workshops for Yellowbird Education – both classes received very positive feedback. Currently, I run my own 11+ preparation classes online. Click here to find out more.

As an entrance exam specialist, I have helped prepare students at all entry points for St Paul’s Boys and Girls, King’s, Westminster, Godolphin, Latymer, City of London, Eton, Winchester, Brighton, UCS, Bute, Wetherby, WCCS, Sussex House and others. I am proud that many of my students enjoy successes and that most clients hold on to me long after the exams are finished; some of those I helped at 11+ I later helped in their GCSEs, and have seen them attain places at prestigious universities here and across the pond.
I am a freelance content producer for entrance exam titans Exam Papers Plus. I’ve written everything from English and Math papers to creative writing exemplars from 7+ to 11+, providing a deep understanding of the requirements of the entry exams of different schools and at each entry point. I helped to originate their Video Masterclass series, writing, filming and editing content. If I’m not able to offer you a slot, it’s a great way to get tutoring on demand.
Aside from school entry, I have helped students prepare their university applications and personal statements. As a former medic, I am thrilled to have helped students attain places on Medicine courses at prestigious Russell Group universities.
As a dissertation consultant, I have aided undergraduate and master’s students in crafting their theses. I’ve worked on a unique range of topics - from productivity to ‘Instagram influencers’. Every dissertation I have worked on, including my own undergraduate and MA, has secured a first – although this is not a guarantee.
Academics
I read Medicine at UCL, graduating with a first class BSc in Medical Sciences with Surgical Sciences. For my achievement I was placed on the Dean’s List, and won another academic prize for my research. After a year of clinical placements, I realised the job wasn’t for me and left to pursue other interests. While at university, I lectured for the Anatomy Society, demonstrated for the near-peer scheme, and mentored for the Target Medicine widening-participation programme.
Acting & Writing
As a professional child actor, I balanced my education with travelling to the West End several nights a week or shooting on set. Since leaving clinical practice, I have trained at Guildhall, Identity, and Mountview, where I graduated with Distinction from the MA programme. For my dissertation, I was awarded 80%.
Acting is a discipline I believe all tutors should be trained in. The best actors know to focus entirely on their scene partners and are trained to experiment with different tactics to achieve their goals. This empathic, flexible, and engaging approach is invaluable when applied to the one-on-one setting.
I am also a writer: my first full-length play, ‘Double Act’, debuted at Southwark Playhouse last year.
