By using this website, you agree to these Website Terms.

1. About these terms

These Website Terms govern use of the website itself.

If you book tuition, a class or another educational service from us, our separate Terms of Tuition also apply.

Our Privacy & Cookies Policy explains how we use personal information and cookies.

If there is a conflict between these Website Terms and the Terms of Tuition concerning a paid educational service, the Terms of Tuition will take precedence in relation to that service.

2. Using our website

You may use this website for lawful personal and educational purposes.

You must not:

  • use the website unlawfully or fraudulently;

  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website or its underlying systems;

  • knowingly introduce viruses, malicious code or other harmful material;

  • interfere with the operation or security of the website;

  • use automated systems to extract substantial amounts of website content without permission;

  • impersonate another person when contacting us; or

  • use the website in a way that infringes another person's rights.

We may restrict access to the website where reasonably necessary to protect the website, our users or our rights.

3. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the text, design, graphics, original exercises, teaching resources, mock examinations, worksheets and other original material published on this website are owned by or licensed to NB Private Tuition Ltd and are protected by intellectual property law.

All rights are reserved except for the limited permissions set out below.

4. Free educational resources

Where we make a resource available for free download, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it for private educational purposes.

Unless a resource states otherwise, you may:

  • download a copy;

  • save a personal copy; and

  • print reasonable copies for your own use or for the use of your child.

You may not, without our prior permission:

  • sell the resource;

  • redistribute it commercially;

  • upload it to another website or publicly accessible shared drive;

  • distribute copies to other families, tutors or organisations;

  • remove copyright or ownership notices;

  • claim authorship of it; or

  • reproduce substantial parts of it in another commercial resource.

Teachers, tutors, schools or organisations wishing to reproduce or distribute our materials should contact us for permission.

5. Information on the website

We take reasonable care when preparing information published on the website.

However, much of the website provides general educational information rather than advice tailored to a particular Student.

Information about schools, examinations, admissions procedures, syllabuses, application deadlines or other third-party requirements may change.

You should therefore verify important current requirements with the relevant school, university, examination board or other official organisation.

Nothing published on the website constitutes a guarantee of admission, examination success or any other educational outcome.

6. Testimonials and results

The website may refer to previous Students' experiences, results or testimonials.

These illustrate individual experiences only. They do not guarantee that another Student will achieve the same or a similar result.

Educational outcomes depend on numerous factors, including a Student's starting point, attendance, effort and performance, as well as the requirements and decisions of schools, examination boards and other third parties.

7. Third-party websites

Our website may contain links to websites operated by other organisations.

Links are provided for convenience or information and do not necessarily mean that we endorse the linked organisation, website, product or service.

We do not control third-party websites and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.

You should review the relevant terms and privacy information when using another website.

8. Links to our website

You may link to publicly available pages on our website provided that the link:

  • is lawful and fair;

  • does not misleadingly suggest an association, sponsorship or endorsement that does not exist;

  • does not damage or take unfair advantage of our reputation; and

  • does not display our content in a misleading context.

You must not frame substantial parts of our website within another website in a way that suggests our content belongs to somebody else.

We may ask for a link to be removed where we reasonably consider it misleading, unlawful or damaging.

9. Website availability

We aim to keep the website available and functioning properly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.

We may temporarily suspend, change or withdraw parts of the website for maintenance, security, technical or business reasons.

We are not responsible for temporary unavailability caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

10. Website security

Although we take reasonable precautions, no internet service can be guaranteed to be completely secure or free from harmful material.

You are responsible for using appropriate security measures on your own devices.

11. Our liability

Nothing in these Website Terms excludes or restricts liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

We are not responsible for losses arising from reliance on general website information where the relevant information should reasonably have been verified with an official third party, unless the law provides otherwise.

We are not responsible for loss or damage caused solely by a third-party website or service over which we have no control.

12. Privacy and cookies

Our collection and use of personal information is explained in our Privacy & Cookies Policy.

Where consent is required for non-essential cookies or similar technologies, those technologies will be managed through the website's cookie-consent mechanism rather than by treating continued use of the website as consent.

13. Changes to the website and these terms

We may update the website and these Website Terms from time to time.

The current version will be published on this page together with the date it was last updated.

Changes to these Website Terms apply to use of the website after the revised Terms take effect. Changes to contractual terms governing existing tuition arrangements are dealt with separately under our Terms of Tuition.

14. Governing law

These Website Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you.
